August 2013, we were lucky enough to establish one of the most rewarding and mutually engaging relationships with the team at Biopak in the first BioCup Art Series. The project provides artists who are passionate about the environment and us related themes in their work the opportunity to have their work printed on a quarter of a million commerically compostable BioCups. The project has now grown to include 18 new artists printed each quarter. We have loved curating this community of creatives with photographers, painters, illustrators, florists, textile designers and tattoo artists of varying professional levels represented.

The work of 36 community-conscious artists from Perth to Auckland have now had their work printed on over 10 million compostable cups. Our artists have identified huge benefit in having their work seen across Australia and NZ and we're so thankful for their involvement.

What started out as an idea has been developed into a widely shared social concept which not only beautifies the urban landscape, but inspires consumers to rethink the true beauty of their daily resource use. The Instagram hashtag, now printed on the cup, offers fantastic insight into the project's impact with over 570 posts from Cottesloe Beach to Christchurch Hospital – and everywhere in between! With a combined Instagram reach of over 1 million, we're excited to see the project's online presence only grow further.
